The Role

This role will work with the firm founders to assist in the management of sourcing, evaluating, due diligence, execution, and value-add for venture opportunities that are a fit for the fund’s investment thesis on a deal-by deal basis. The Venture Partner will be utilizing established networks to source new venture opportunities found within the US and internationally. The Venture Partner will work closely with the senior management team and supporting intelligence team in identifying, diligence, and execute on investments with target companies that meet within the firm’s investment mandate.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing established networks to source high-quality investment opportunities that fit within the fund mandate.

  • Maximizing network access to new venture opportunities that fit within the fund’s investment thematic, stage, and industrial mandates.

  • Establish relevant partnerships with individuals and organizations that optimizes deal-flow access.

  • Assist in the overall due diligence of new venture opportunities in collaboration with senior management team and supporting intelligence team analysts.

  • Assist in the management of investment execution and integration.

  • Assist in the performance reporting of individual portfolio companies over the life-cycle of the venture.

  • Provides active value add assistance and support networks to operations to portfolio companies in collaboration with the fund’s intelligence team analysts and executive team.

 

Job Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree, graduate degree – MBA ideal

  • Extensive venture investment experience and/or successful entrepreneur

  • Preferred industry background: start-ups, techbnologies, venture capitalist/PE

  • Experienced with financial valuation, due diligence, deal execution, deal terms (from early seed to late-stage financing

  • Track record in developing and attracting investors

  • Evidence of extensive network throughout relevant venture ecosystem.

  • Ability to learn quickly and think outside the box

  • Financial and management vocabulary.

  • Team first attitude and a commitment to work in a highly collaborative environment

  • Possess critical thinking skills and keen focus on details

  • High level of proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to be motivated and work effectively in both structured and unstructured environments

  • Proactive to take initiative

  • Must be ethical and honest, possess high integrity and be trustworthy.
